From the Church Office (September 2008)
Dear WCBC Church Family,
We will continue to seek revival this month as we humble ourselves, pray, seek God’s face and turn from our wicked ways (Chronicles 7:13-14). We desperately need a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God told us what to do. Will you do it?
As I write this article, students and teachers are having their first day of the new school year. I encourage you to pray for our students and teachers all year long. Teachers have unique opportunities to be good examples and subtle witnesses to their young students. Students can encourage their friends to do what is right and share their faith in Jesus Christ. I pray that this will be a great school year for all.
I am very excited that we have called David Baysinger to be our new youth minister. Please pray for David and Rachel as they begin to lead our youth ministry. I ask you to help and support them any way you can. I appreciate all of those who kept the youth ministry going strong during the interim period. Continue to pray for the personnel committee as they seek and interview candidates for our music minister position.
My second year of service at WCBC began toward the end of August. My family appreciates the way you have welcomed and made us part of the church. We are looking forward to serving God with you for many years to come. I am proud to be your pastor.
By His Grace,
Pastor Shane
